Doran Lummis sits on a fence near his flower bed at his home on Campstool Road. Lummis's grandfather became full owner of the Lummis Livestock Company in 1919 and has been in the family since. Lummis won 4 state titles in high school basketball playing for Okie Blanchard and with Curt Gowdy announcing the games. "In my younger days I spent my life on the back of a horse," Lummis said about growing up in Laramie County. Freedom is what Lummis likes about living in Laramie County. Today is Doran's 87th birthday.
