Guy and Buck McVeigh – June 22

Buck McVeigh and his son Guy sit in the courtyard of their home on Bradley Avenue. The home was built in 1954 by Tracy McCraken who was the state chair for the democratic party and owner of the Wyoming Eagle newspaper. Presidents John F. Kennedy and Harry Truman visited the stylish home and the history inspired McVeigh to purchase the home a few years ago. Guy recently graduated from Cheyenne East High School and plans on attending the University of Wyoming. Location to outdoor recreation, professional opportunities, and education are what's special to the McVeigh's. To participate in WTE Photo Editor Michael Smith's "Our Faces: Portraits of Laramie County" project, call 633-3124 or 630-8388 or email msmith@wyomingnews.com to make an appointment.
